Our role

Risk Finance function is part of Group Finance and is primarily responsible for reporting Expected Credit Loss (ECL) to a variety of internal stakeholders (business units, regions, countries). There is also a secondary responsibility of providing a review and challenge control to the allocation of the ECL across business lines and geographies. Additionally, there is some contribution to regulatory submission and pre-publication review packs.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly, quarterly internal and external reporting.
  • P&L credit impairment reporting – flash and actual credit impairment P&L by business and region.
  • Balance sheet reporting – consolidating risk data and comparing actual versus flash data by country and stage.
  • Analysing and responding to country ECL queries from the monthly runs and support with ad hoc ECL queries.
  • Input into monthly country adjustment process for ECL.
  • Support monthly Top client analysis for modelled ECL.
  • Analysing and responding to queries from Risk.
  • Producing monthly ECL waterfall by stage and actual vs flash data reconciliation.
  • Redesign and document monthly processes.
  • Assist with redesign of ECL Dashboard that is used by country teams.
  • Assistance with preparation of quarterly IFRS9 Impairment Committee and Audit Committee papers.
  • Assistance with IFRS9 interim and Half yearly ECL movement tables.
  • Assistance with Credit Risk External Disclosures review and challenge.
  • Support the reporting process during the transfer from SAS to Python.
  • Support in training and development of the team by sharing knowledge.

  • At least 12+ years of experience in financial regulatory reporting, Balance Sheet Reporting/ Management, FINREP reporting, IFRS 9 ECL models, finance control.
  • Preferred higher education in one of the following fields: Accounting, Finance, Economics.
  • Ability to share technical knowledge and train colleagues.
  • Proficient skills in Excel and VBA.
  • Working skills to use SAS, Python and SQL queries.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills in order to tackle and track issues until resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
