Job Description & Summary

PwC’s Business Restructuring Services (BRS) team is currently the largest restructuring practice in the Middle East, with over 60 employees operating across various offices in the region. Our team helps organizations facing financial distress or insolvency with crisis recovery, administrative tasks, liquidation and insolvency proceedings. Whatever the solution, we help them manage road blocks until the job is done.

We develop and implement realistic and pragmatic plans by applying restructuring and stakeholder management skills, functional knowledge, and proprietary assets and tools to support Executives in making difficult decisions and driving through change in a short timeframe. We help clients, among other things,to reduce balance sheet stress, generate cash and reduce costs or refinance to find the best source of capital to support their business objectives. Whatever the solution, we help them manage road blocks until the job is done.

This role requires the candidate to be based out of Beirut, Lebanon.

The Role

As a Senior Associate in our Business Restructuring Services team, you will work alongside a team to review company business plans and highlight risks and options.

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Helping our clients reduce balance sheet stress, generate cash and reduce costs or refinance to find the best source of capital to support their business objectives
  • Day to day case management of administrations, liquidations and other corporate insolvency processes
  • Contributing on proposals or business development initiatives
  • Supporting engagement leads in ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines
  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including communications with remote-based colleagues
  • Keeping up to date with insolvency and other relevant legislation across the local market and the GCC
  • Identify risk issues and ensure these are escalated to your senior management
  • Theorizing net returns for clients and other stakeholders from financially distressed companies and individuals
  • Analyzing complex data and use it to tell a story to stakeholders

The Requirements

  • Experience in financial due diligence, corporate insolvency cases and restructurings (out-of-court and in-court procedures) are considered an asset
  • Comfortable with report writing and explanatory narrative to financial analysis
  • Financial statement analysis and financial modeling are preferred.
  • Technical and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex issues to support client solutions
  • Passionate about delivery of work and has a strong desire to succeed by learning from colleagues and creating collaborative relationships at all levels
  • Motivated to build excellent working relationships and meet deadlines successfully in a fast paced & dynamic environment
  • Ability to identify risk issues
  • Confident communicator and can deliver messages with impact to a wide variety of audiences
  • Keen to leverage technology enabled and digital tools to achieve efficient delivery for our clients
