Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining our financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting various financial operations. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with Odoo ERP, advanced proficiency in MS Excel, and the ability to create compelling presentations using PowerPoint. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure consistency between accounts.

2. VAT Filing:

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with local regulations.
  • Keep abreast of changes in VAT laws and ensure the company adheres to all tax obligations.

3. Payroll:

  • Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage payroll records and handle payroll-related queries from staff.

4. Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management.

5. Performance Reporting:

  • Generate performance reports to monitor business operations.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against targets.

6. Proposal Writing:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial proposals and business plans.
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support business development initiatives.

7. Receivables Follow-Up:

  • Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve any invoicing issues.

8. Cash Flow Preparation:

  • Prepare and maintain cash flow statements.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant, with expertise in Odoo ERP.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, with the ability to create and deliver impactful presentations.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with VAT regulations and payroll processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Digital services.
  • Knowledge of other accounting software and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
