Interim Management Accountant

This is a 12 month Management Accountant position within an SME retail, ecommerce, wholesale, and distribution business. There is significant scope to make this role your own and really take ownership of driving change and growth, all the while supporting the Finance Director.

Client Details

This successful and growing SME retail, ecommerce, wholesale, and distribution business are about to go through a period of growth due to new product launches, and expect turnover to increase significantly.

The business has experienced significant transformation in the last couple of years and are in a very positive and stable position now to drive growth forward. With the new product launches due to arrive onto the market in the coming year, they have also expanded their Marketing team, so a key aspect of this role will be building relationships with and business partnering these new employees.

Description

Core responsibilities will include:

- Month end management accounts - balance sheet reconciliations, P&L preparation for various business units, accruals/prepayments/intrastat reporting/multi-currency

- Weekly sales reporting to the management team

- Analysis of sales, margin, profitability, and stock

- Overseeing the Purchase Ledger function

- Business partnering the new Marketing team to ensure they adhere to budget and are financially aware and conscious of their plans

- There is significant scope to improve processes too, particularly around the time it takes to produce month end reporting

Profile

The business are looking for a CIMA qualified Management Accountant who is available to start within the next couple of months.

Ideal (but not essential) experience would include:

- Previous exposure to the retail or distribution sectors

- Some experience of managing stock levels

- Previous experience of managing month end close

Job Offer

This is a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave, and will be paying £38,000 - £41,000 per annum, depending on experience, on their payroll.
