Job Description:

  • Prepare, submit, and make payment for bi-monthly service tax return of Pos Malaysia Berhad. 
  • Review and oversee the timely filing and payment of bi-monthly service tax return prepared by subsidiary (i.e., Pos Digicert Sdn Bhd).
  • Prepare, submit, and make payment for quarterly Tourism tax return of Pos Malaysia Berhad.
  • Manage indirect tax audit, if any - prepare necessaries required supporting documents requested by RMCD within stipulated timeline given.
  • Manage indirect tax-related projects and provide advice on M&A, business ventures to ensure indirect tax implications are considered by the stakeholders.
  • Verify SST implication on foreign vendor payment and monitor the related imported service tax payment to the RMCD.
  • Compile and provide information for Country-by-Country Reporting on yearly basis.
  • Compile information on related party transactions for Transfer Pricing (TP) on yearly basis.
  • Support GLs administration activities – extract data for reporting, manage details text in specific GLs, tax implication etc.
  • Involve in tax related projects introduced by the government such as e-invoicing, etc.
  • Involve in discussion and engage with the tax consultants for the proposals of consulting services (i.e., MD Status application, e-invoicing and etc).

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation or any other related field or professional qualifications such as ACCA is preferred. 
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in handling Corporate Tax matters (i.e. Indirect Tax) 
  • Able to handle a large sized tax computation such as POS Malaysia. 
  • Tactical and process-oriented problem solving. 
  • Experience in leading team members on activities such as as-is process and maturity assessment, technology evaluation, opportunity identification, business case and roadmap creation and implementation of recommendations  
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.
