Business Unit Description

MERC "Middle East Resourcing Center" Business Unit is the department responsible for supporting the operations for the Consulting Line of Service. The department focuses on multiple competencies such as Resourcing, Business Development, Talent Aquisition & Recruitment, Human Capital, Communications, and Central Finance. MERC Consulting team contributes in the achievements of the consulting line of service by providing the backend support required to deliver high end results to our clients.

Job Summary

A career in Finance, within an Internal team of Consulting Business, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

  • You will also be required to possess good task management skills as the delivery role requires you to work on potentially multiple projects at the same time and therefore balance and manage your tasks and commitments.
  • You are also anticipated to have a large amount of interaction with the other PwC lines of services which requires a high-level understanding of the wider PwC offering and trends outside your core area of expertise.
  • Core responsibility is to support the LOS Finance Lead in all aspects of the financial planning process and analysis.
  • Responsible for all timely recurring and adhoc internal financial reporting either globally or locally to different stakeholders, and act as the single source of truth for data validation.
  • Conduct analysis and provide recommendations on scale rates, profitability improvement, cost efficiencies and other P&L movements. Study the financial KPIs by detailed breakdown of the costs and revenues and help in the forecasts of the P&L statement for the LOS.
  • Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes for the ME firm, covering all Business Units (BUs) and the Lines of Service (LOS). Provide Support to the LOS Finance Lead for the smooth running of the entire annual budgeting process, from planning, guidance, execution, challenge and review and leadership sign off.
  • Responsible for enhancing user experience through better reporting solutions through PBI dashboards, that provides real time and periodic reporting & insights.
  • Perform monthly review of business performance and provide commentary summary on results.
  • Provide innovative reporting solutions to ad hoc management information requests from the business.
Additional Roles & Responsibilities Skills and Competencies
  • The candidate will be achievement oriented with the ability to be flexible and adaptive on a daily basis. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team with a fast pace and a high energy that will translate into a high quality output;
  • Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise workload whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines;
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Educational Qualifications & Certifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or finance;
  • CMA or Chartered Accountant will be preferred.

Years of Experience: 

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant FP&A experience. Similarly, any experience in the GCC would be beneficial;
