An extremely exciting opportunity to join a unique umbrella charity who supports numerous charitable trusts day to day. As a senior finance business partner you will oversee three of the charitable trusts and act as the key contact with the relevant trustees and boards. You will provide excellent financial support, business partnering and will help to facilitate their organisational plans.

Client Details

Our client is a unique umbrella charity that oversees and supports numerous charitable trusts helping them to achieve their goals and missions. With a headcount around 100, this charity is well established and prides itself in being able to offer the support trusts need and helping them to develop.


  • This role will involve you bringing you exceptional business partnering skills and using these to work with three main trusts; helping to understand their needs and support in their finances.
  • You will be tasked with overseeing the accounts and therefore will be producing management and financial reports, providing insights on cash flow, budgets and forecasts and managing the VAT process.
  • Day to day you will be liaising closely with the key stakeholders in each entity and ensuring that the finances are in line and that the stakeholders have a well rounded understanding.
  • Other responsibilities include overseeing the operation of the investment management process, ensuring their are sufficient funds between the trusts investment portfolios and participating in wider office projects.
  • Although you will not line manage, you will be acting as a mentor and overseeing more junior members of the team whilst reporting to the head of finance.


  • Must be a fully qualified accountant.
  • You need to be a strong technical accountant.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and a Strong ability to work well with wider teams.
  • Charity sector experience is strong desirable- need a strong understanding of how grants making and charitable bodies work.
  • This role would suit someone from an audit background who has progressed into a not for profit and is now looking for that 2nd step post practise.

Job Offer

  • £60,000-65,000 per annum.
  • Hybrid working; 2-3 days in Victoria based office.
