We are looking to expand our Pension Fund’s team and we have a vacancy for a Audit Manager within our Oldbury office.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of auditing pension funds, winning new clients and demonstrating a good knowledge of pension schemes and strong project management and inter-personal skills. You will be working alongside an experienced team with a wealth of knowledge, whilst managing a portfolio of pension scheme audit clients, within a supportive and approachable environment. Your role will be challenging and varied, and you will be encouraged to take on responsibilities and offered excellent opportunities to develop within the firm.

  • Managing pension scheme financial statement audits reporting to senior managers, directors, or partner
  • Show proactive initiative and take responsibility for management of the audit and your team to ensure completion within the agreed timescales and monitoring of time spent versus budgets
  • Act as a key contact for the client during all stages of the audit
  • Support the partner at trustee board meetings to present the audit plan and findings reports.
  • Support the partners in preparing and presenting new client proposals
  • Helping with the development of more junior staff through coaching and training
  • Contributing to team management meetings and staff training
  • Strong project management of assignments and working to deadlines.

Specialist/technical knowledge

  • Qualified ACA, ICAS or ACCA.
  • A good working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
  • Knowledge and experience of pension scheme audits and Pensions SORP
