Accounts Assistant  Cardiff 

Job Purpose: BPU is one of the largest Independent firms of Chartered Accountants based in South Wales and is looking for an experienced qualified accountant to join its professional team. The firm is offering a competitive salary and benefits package as follows:

The Person:

  • Fully or part qualified ACCA or ACA or qualified by experience
  • A minimum of two years of practice experience is essential
  • Experience of using accounting software including Xero, Sage, Quick Books & IRIS 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Team player who is not afraid to put forward ideas
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
  • Working and liaising with colleagues in other departments as necessary to provide high-quality client service
  • Ad-hoc booking keeping when required
  • Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and set deadlines
  • Knowledge of preparing personal tax returns would be desirable
  • Report directly to a Manager

The Firm: Established for over 55 years, BPU Accountants is a friendly, modern and approachable firm of Chartered Accountants based in offices at Cardiff Gate Business Park, Cardiff and at Llantwit Major.
