Director / Senior Manager - SAP Transformation Advisory Head, Dubai

The opportunity 

This opportunity is within our SAP team which provides advisory services focused on Design, Implementation and Quality Assurance of the SAP ECC / S4 HANA system. 

In this fast - moving new space you will be the main driver in identifying clients and business development.

Your key responsibilities 

As a Director/ Senior Manager you would be the Delivery Executive and Subject Matter Resource in managing all Pursuits and Engagements focusing Design, Implementation and Quality Assurance of the SAP ECC / S4 HANA system with special emphasis on financial modules (FI, CO, Funds management, Project Systems, Group reporting, SAC Planning, BPC, etc.) while collaborating with the partner and client organization to determine a FAAS strategy that appropriately addresses risk and manages client expectations relating to deliverables. 

You are expected to have strong business development and revenue management skills to develop and manage a young practice, pursue business, and develop proposals and go to market material. You will be required to lead and run go to market campaign, make presentations/pitches to prospective clients about your team’s capabilities in delivering/managing / supervising SAP implementations.

In addition to Business Development and delivery, you will be required to recruit and hire strong capable SAP resources in your team and assist your practice partners in engagement management, book of business management, team management, margin improvement, collections, and delivery.

In terms of project of the engagements, you are expected to be hands on in terms of drafting/developing, reviewing, designing, and submitting project deliverables along with your team. You will bring strong SAP S4 HANA subject matter expertise and work in the capacity of SMR, SAP Architect, Project /Program Manager, Delivery lead, Quality assurance lead as per the requirements of the client.

To this end you’ll ensure that the FAAS engagement team understands the client's needs and expectations and that the work product is client-focused, clear, accurate and well-presented; ensure work is delivered timely and in compliance with regulatory requirements and monitor the FAAS engagement team's performance against the budget and alter if necessary.

In addition, identifying and communicating relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers relevant to the client will be essential as well consulting with appropriate resources on complex issues and participating in sales of new FAAS work.

To qualify for the role, you must have: 

  • Overall experience of 15 -20 years out of which at-least 10 years of managing large and complex SAP enabled Finance change management projects
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Involved in system-wide organizational change and development initiatives
  • Ability to lead and work with cross functional teams
  • Strong advisory (selling) mindset
  • CPA/CA/ACCA certification preferred
  • Strong technical skills and recognized cautious risk management ability
  • Deep understanding of the client's industry and marketplace
  • Strong management skills to lead teams, delegate appropriately, mentor, review performance and counsel employees
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, Arabic skills are desirable but not a must
  • Ability and comfort level in researching client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary
  • Able to demonstrate relevant experience in design, implementation and quality assurance of S4 HANA implementations in a large organization focusing on Finance processes and its interface with other modules e.g. MM, SD, PM, etc.
  • Must have strong track record of SAP enabled Transformation Advisory type engagements with minimum 10-15  years of experience in SAP implementation projects
  • Able to perform current state Analysis, determine gaps in terms of un-used functionality and develop a roadmap for the client to upgrade / evolve their journey from ECC to S4 HANA.
  • Able to define business requirements and SAP system architecture for end to end financial processes including its linkages with other modules
  • Hands on understanding of SAP S4 HANA Financial Modules and ability to develop/review business blueprint design and configuration documents developed by other team members
  • Ability to perform end to end Quality Assurance of the SAP implementation including requirements, blueprint, CRPs, UAT and integrations design documents
  • Ability to think like a business transformation consultant to deploy and leverage SAP technologies to deliver desired business outcome client organization is aiming for
  • Good understanding of overall SAP S4 HANA technology stack and other complimentary technologies like (workflow, OCR , RPA and Analytics etc) to deliver an end to end digitally transformed process.
  • Proven experience in transition and change management plan development and execution in the context of SAP implementation

Ideally, you’ll also have: 

  • Experience in the Middle East & North Africa region
  • At-least 5 full cycle SAP S4 HANA Design and Implementation Experience for finance function
  • Prior experience of working with a consulting company for a minimum period of 7 years
