Our Deals Advisory Business, one of the leading players in the Irish market, is looking to reinforce our Debt Advisory team with an experienced Assistant Manager/Manager with a strong track record operating in capital and debt markets or working within a Debt Advisory Business.

Our team is responsible for providing integrated Debt & Capital advisory services to publicly quoted, privately owned, semi-states, sponsors, property investors etc. across a wide range of sectors and industries. We help our clients to raise capital, carry out refinancings, M&A funding, property investments, funding solutions analysis, facility documentation amendments and IBR’s for lenders etc. We provide access to capital providers across the bank and non bank market, structuring finance solutions that optimise terms and minimise risk. Our Debt Advisory team has detailed knowledge and insight across the debt markets including corporate debt, leveraged finance, structured finance, real estate finance and Debt Capital Markets.

You will be responsible for supporting the go-to-market strategy, originating transactions as well as leading the execution on debt advisory transactions. You will play an important role in the development of the Debt Advisory team and take ownership of targeted development and accelerated growth initiatives.

Your key responsibilities:

You will have a client-facing role from origination to closing.

Transaction support & execution– manage and support key workstreams

  • such as the development and review of detailed, financial Microsoft Excel models for use in transactions;
  • drafting of all marketing materials (information memorandum, teaser, management presentation, etc.),
  • client management including taking the lead in project managing the transaction to completion.

The team

  • support the further development and growth of the Debt Advisory team.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices with an enthusiasm to learn new skills
  • Continuously monitoring new evolutions in the debt markets
  • Ensure appropriate resource management and development of junior members of team;

Origination

  • initiate market analysis and client identification to support origination of transactions following key trends as well as by building sector knowledge
  • Supporting execution of the Debt Advisory growth strategy
  • You will have a client-facing role from origination to closing.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Master’s degree in finance, economics, business or related subject
  • ACA, ACCA or other accounting qualification (preferred, but not essential)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience of relevant (transactional) experience gained within the banking or investment industry with exposure to leveraged finance, debt capital markets, structured finance/securitization, property finance, restructuring and/or direct lending
  • Team player, eager to share knowledge and help others grow, stress-resistant, entrepreneurial, pro-active and hands-on
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, client-focused and result-oriented
  • Experienced in organization and planning throughout the M&A process
  • Strong IT skills (especially Microsoft Excel and also Word and PowerPoint);
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Strong commercial and market awareness;
  • Experience of managing transactions, including reviewing of financial agreements and transaction documentation;
  • Experience of preparing clear and concise reports, investment proposals, credit applications, or similar;
  • Experience of developing financial models;
  • Experience managing assignment
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
