A stable corporate bank is hiring an Assistant Manager/Manager for their accounting team.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Manager/Manager in the Financial Accounting department.

- Assist the Financial Accounting team in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Conduct regular financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Handle accounting tasks such as expenses payment, bank reconciliation, staff reimbursement processing, accounting data entries etc.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial results.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to internal controls, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support the team in coordinating with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and examinations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as HKICPA or ACCA are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including HKFRS and IFRS.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with banking systems and software, including SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken).
