Description

The key responsibilities of a Fixed Asset Accountant will include:

  • Maintain Fixed Asset register reconciliation, including detailed CWIP reconciliation.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of CWIP and ensure all transactions are accounted for correctly.
  • Account for additions, disposals and deprecation correctly, within the accounting system
  • Monitor projects to ensure added to fixed asset register as they are commissioned/completed.
  • Monitor asset existence and ensure all asset labels are applied and accurate records maintained.
  • Proactively review finance process performance and identify continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Management reporting to comply with internal and external auditing requests, as well as Group requirements.
  • General support within the finance department

Profile

A successful Fixed Asset Accountant should have:

Professional accounting designation (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Minimum of 3 years commercial experienceSolid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with financial reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
