Finance Manager- Exchange Company Experience

Responsible for ensuring smooth operations across the finance function enabling the business to run efficiently and effectively. Leading the accounting teams and monitoring the internal controls including the banking and finance activities, reporting, and payments to customers, clients, and external authorities.

Duties and Responsibilities: Service Delivery

  • Ensure periodic reconciliations on all bank accounts, delivering to both internal and regulatory deadlines
  • Support special projects / new products and workflow process improvements.
  • Assist in the implementation of new software platforms.
  • Lead team members in delivering service excellence across the assigned work and continually evaluating performance
  • Publish complete and timely financial statements to company executives, shareholders, and the board

Process and Operations

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to streamline the workflow of the department.
  • Ensure monthly account closure
  • Prepare monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare and submit all required corporate reports and central bank reports
  • Ensure a timely quarter-end and year-end audit (Internal, External, Central Bank and

State Audit)

  • Account for any budget variances and report significant discrepancies to management

Finance

  • Report to CFO & CEO financial results together with any special reporting requests
  • Improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the business
  • Recommend benchmarks for the measurement of company financial performance goals

Customer Focus

  • Provide monthly P&L reviews with Area managers and retail head
  • Assisting peer departments in ultimately achieving group goals.
  • Ensure the team delivers the minimum TAT for customer/partner queries in case of cancellations, etc.

Compliance

  • Ensure all services provided by the function are compliant with the CBUAE and WSE policies & procedures.
  • Create a supportive environment whereby employees can raise concerns surrounding compliance and risk-related issues, either directly or through the whistleblowing procedure using the company email.
  • Raise awareness within the team and wider organization of our employee responsibility in working in a risk-free and compliant manner.
  • Ensure all employees attend risk and compliance awareness programs during their employment whether it is as part of the onboarding process or the annual refresher training.

Knowledge & Skills. Knowledge of IFRS.

  • Big 4 professional experience.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or equivalent demonstrable work experience.
  • Chartered Accountant
  • 10+ years’ experience in relevant field
  • Experience in a Money Exchange Company.
