We're recruiting for a forward-thinking Financial Control Accountant who will be responsible for supporting the financial control activities for UK group functions including audit relationships (both internal and external), operation of the financial control framework and reporting to Group, balance sheet reviews and other control areas such as policies, compliance, statutory reporting, accounting and delegation of authority.


  • Ensure internal and external reporting requirements are met and ongoing management of audit relationship (internal and external)
  • Support on running the day-to-day processes, such as month end close, cashflow forecasting and balance sheet reviews.
  • Preparing the statutory accounts for the group function entities.
  • Involvement in transfer pricing activities and support on budgets/forecasts for this area.
  • Liaise with business performance teams about risks and accounting judgements and provisions.
  • Works with Operational Finance, Group Financial Control and offshore teams to ensure our reporting is materially correct and prepared efficiently.
  • Supports the delivery of projects and initiatives as part of the Kingfisher Finance Strategy.


  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Highly organised and methodical
  • Good analytical skills within context of financial / procedural controls.
  • Advanced communication / inter-personal skills – verbal and written
  • SAP/HFM experience preferable
