Position Overview:

The Compliance Manager will oversee our client’s compliance function, ensuring adherence to legal standards and internal policies. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs to mitigate risks and uphold ethical practices within the organization.

Key Objectives:

The Compliance Manager will play a vital role in safeguarding our client’s reputation and financial integrity by overseeing compliance with relevant laws and regulations. They will lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks while fostering a culture of integrity and accountability throughout the organization.

Your Tasks:

  • Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization's operations and update compliance programs accordingly.
  • Investigate and respond to compliance violations, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and human resources, to address compliance issues and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain documentation of compliance activities, including policies, procedures, and audit findings, for internal and external review.
  • Monitor and assess third-party relationships to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required by law or industry standards.
  • Lead special projects or initiatives related to compliance risk management, process improvement, or regulatory change management.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on compliance-related matters during internal meetings, client engagements, and industry events.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance matters, including ethics, anti-money laundering, and data protection.
  • Stay informed about global compliance standards and best practices, particularly in areas such as anti-corruption, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
  • Develop and maintain healthy relationships with regulatory agencies and industry associations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, finance, or related field; CA or ACCA qualification is a plus.
  • 10 to 12 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Experience in the consultancy industry is preferred, with a proven track record of providing compliance advice and guidance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
