Job Description

Join our Strategy and Growth office within Finance and Business Management team if you are keen to be a part of changing and fast-growing business environment ! There are many processes to be built and developed and there is an opportunity to grow within the team.  The business is very inclusive, forward thinking and you would be part of daily stand ups with the London team and true partners to the organization. You will be part of a new SGO P&A team in Mumbai supporting the business and the overall global corporate organization. 

As a Vice President within the Strategy and Growth Office (SGO) Finance & Business Management team, you will be instrumental in supporting the strategic and financial priorities across the International Consumer Bank, Latin America (specifically C6 Bank), and the Global Corporate Strategy team. Your role will involve using your financial analysis knowledge to help shape the strategy for the Consumer Bank, demonstrating adaptability in a rapidly evolving business environment. You will be a part of the process of establishing and developing numerous new processes. This role provides an opportunity for professional growth within our inclusive and forward-thinking business. You will engage in daily stand-ups with the London team, acting as a true partner to the organization. As a key member of the newly formed SGO Planning & Analysis team in Mumbai, you will provide crucial support to the business and the overall global corporate organization.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Produces and reports of the monthly outlook / annual budget process for P&L, balance sheet and headcount across all SGO businesses at a legal entity level.  
  • Partners with the business/strategy in ad-hoc financial modelling to support the development and cost-benefit analyses of new business ideas
  • Learns to use a new P&A tool (Anaplan) and become an SME on this tool as it is rolled out across the SGO F&BM team.
  • Supports the wider firmwide teams (e.g. Corporate P&A, LEC) on all queries relating to SGO financial performance. 
  • Assists in the production of insightful materials for quarterly earnings prep, Investor day prep, Jamie business review presentations and OC offsites for senior management. 
  • Produces and analyses baseline and stressed forecasts for regulatory submissions including ICAAP, ILAAP & CCAR.
  • Contributes to strategic projects including the development of long-term integrated modelling and data analytics capabilities

Required qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and able to analyse / summarise large data and present findings to Senior Management.
  • Self-starter who can work in a fast paced, results driven environment.
  • Demonstrate reasonable analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations.
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and auditable record keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel (Pivot table and vlookup), Outlook, Word and Powerpoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience of VBA development or any Anaplan knowledge would be an advantage or other Firmwide reporting tools (Alteryx and Tableau)
