Your Role At Baxter:

The Finance Manager of Capital Markets & Benefit Plans will serve as an essential part of Baxter’s Treasury function as a thought leader on financial markets. This role assists in the management of Baxter’s capital structure, financial modeling, compliance, and investment strategies to support Baxter’s mission of saving and sustaining lives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Construct Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) and other assumptions used in capital allocation projects Analysis, reporting and forecasting of debt and interest levels.
  • Manage Baxter’s commercial paper program including forecasting, dealer management, issuance and repayment Provide monthly valuation and reporting of financial instruments.
  • Make recommendations on related debt paydown, refinancing and redemption activities Support TMS (Kyriba) activities related to capital markets activities Tracking and analysis of capital markets fees paid to and allocated amongst banks Support rating agency analytics Manage revolver renewals and compliance
  • Manage audits related to Baxter’s securities and investments Support the FX team with trading and spot settlements as needed Support ad hoc treasury projects as needed
  • Assist in monitoring investment performance and completing analytics related to Baxter’s benefit plans. This will include communicating with various investment managers, trustees and actuaries
  • Manage benefit plan expenses and related reimbursement Support benefit plan audits and tax filings (financial statements, expenses, other requests)
  • Financial Statement preparation, analysis, and review with Foundation team members
  • Monitor performance of investment portfolios within Foundation Corpus Bank balance, cash flow monitoring and analysis including cash raising directions to fund grant payments/expenses

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent
  • MBA/CPA/CFA/CTP preferred
  • 5 plus years of Capital Markets experience
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen, judgement and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to effectively influence and drive communication with diverse stakeholders Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Ability to assemble and work in a team-oriented environment, often cross-functionally
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, tax and legal accounting

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
