A leading regional bank is hiring an AVP for their internal audit (credit focused) team.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Vice President to join our Internal Audit team, specifically focusing on credit audit within the retail and wholesale banking sector.

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive and independent credit audits across retail and wholesale banking operations to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of credit risk management processes.
- Evaluate credit underwriting, approval, monitoring, and collection procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Identify potential credit risks, control weaknesses, and operational inefficiencies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assess loan portfolio quality, credit exposure, and provisioning adequacy, and contribute to the formulation of risk-based audit plans.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including business units, risk management, and compliance teams, to address audit findings, implement corrective actions, and enhance credit risk management practices.
- Stay updated with regulatory developments and industry trends related to credit risk management, and provide guidance and training to business units on emerging credit risks.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in internal audit, credit risk management, or related areas within the banking industry.
- Solid understanding of retail and wholesale banking products, credit risk assessment techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of credit underwriting, credit analysis, loan origination, and credit portfolio management.
- Familiarity with internal audit methodologies, risk-based audit planning, and audit reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and control deficiencies and provide practical recommendations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken).
