Description

  • Preparing financial statements for a wide range of businesses, including large and complex sole traders, partnerships and companies, including balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss analysis
  • Preparation of VAT Returns, Bookkeeping & management accounts
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Communicating effectively with clients and building strong relationships
  • Identifying opportunities for business improvement and growth
  • Participating in strategic planning and decision-making processes
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments
  • Providing support and guidance to the team of assistants
  • Assisting the assistant manager with ad-hoc duties where required

Profile

A successful Accounts Senior should have:

  • A strong educational background in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Successfully completed a recognised accountancy qualification (or be nearing the end of the qualification) or be qualified by experience with proven experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
  • Outstanding communication with internal stakeholders and client relationship skills
  • Working knowledge of Xero (although this is not essential as full training will be provided to the successful candidate)
  • Experience in prioritising your workload and be able to complete work within the budgeted time and to the required deadlines
