Our Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Manager to join the Renewables Financial Control team based in Glasgow/Perth. Reporting directly into the Renewables Financial Controller, you will manage a team with responsibility for the accurate and timely execution of all aspects of general accounting, period end closing and statutory reporting activities for the Onshore portfolio.  In addition you will be responsible for reporting information to key stakeholders, including the Commercial Finance teams, Group Finance and external joint venture partners.

The role will cover oversight of all our Onshore assets, including a significant development portfolio in UK, Ireland & Southern Europe. You will also have exposure to SSE Renewables Onshore M&A activity as we continue to grow this  pipeline. You will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, focusing on establishing best practice in reporting and processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing all aspects of the month end reporting process including portfolio performance analysis against budget and forecast for the Onshore division;

- Responsibility for the review and delivery of accurate reporting information to key stakeholders including the business partnering team and JV partners;

- Responsibility for the budget, forecast and business plan process for our Onshore Joint Ventures;

- Managing and developing a team of experienced finance professionals;

- Owning the year end and half year process including the preparation and audit of the statutory accounts and technical accounting papers as required;

- Responsibility for compliance with the Group financial control policies;

- Assistance with onshore M&A accounting reviews when required;

What do I need?

- Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, ACA) with strong working knowledge of IFRS & FRS 101.

- Proactive and inquisitive with a passion for delivering change.

- A keen eye for detail and clear understanding of financial controls.

- Be able to manage multiple projects/processes simultaneously whilst maintaining high standards.

- Must be flexible to respond positively and accurately to key stakeholder requests.
