What you need to do
  • Support the transition of all retail manual reporting into MicroStrategy dashboards making sure all BAU reporting remains on time and is accurate.
  • Support the Retail Finance Business partners in providing ad hoc analysis and insight to the retail and channel teams.
  • Act as a leader within the Reporting team, co-ordinating workload and supporting them in the transition into automation and analytics.
  • Build strong relationships with across Retail, Finance and DataViz teams.
  • Own the store budgeting and re-forecasting processes and co-ordinate the retail finance timetable for budgeting.
  • Own the Supermarkets channel for sales during key finance set pieces including latest view, corporate plan, and budget.
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance when required.
What you need to know and show
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance
  • Demonstrative experience in providing financial analysis / analytics; turning data into insight to help drive commercial performance.
  • Exceptional excel skills a must with experience in BI dashboards, coding & automation highly desirable.
  • High levels of pace, energy, and resilience
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and proactive engagement of key stakeholders to build strong relationships.
  • Demonstrative experience of influencing.
  • It's essential the job holder is a fast learner as the role covers a broad range of sales and cost lines across all retail and digital channels.
  • Must have a strong eye for detail and a passion for accuracy.
  • Proven history of effective prioritisation and ability to push back when appropriate.
  • Committed to driving change and comfortable with managing any associated conflicts
