Senior Financial, Planning & Analysis Accountant The FP&A Accountant is responsible for development and delivery of financials & performance analysis, budget & forecast development. The position requires a high degree of independent judgment, professionalism and integrity along with the skills to interact with senior levels of company management. An exciting opportunity that offers a challenging role for an enthusiastic, motivated and well qualified candidate capable driving continuous improvement across the Group Finance team and looking to gain broad experience of the financial reporting requirements of a diverse multinational.This position reports directly to the Group Financial and has significant interaction across all aspects of the Corporate community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ownership of all aspects of the planning process for annual budget and quarterly forecast reporting including the delivery of accurate and timely data to Group Controller and other stakeholders. Delivery of monthly financial reports to support Senior Management across all levels of the Group. These include Income Statement, Expense and Working Capital related information. Accountable for the preparation and delivery of Monthly Sales, Profit and Cashflow estimates for the Group and delivery to Group and Corporate, including analysis and reconciliation against latest budget/forecast. Preparing monthly finance reports and analysis including the consolidation of Business Unit results and commentary. Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly performance reporting packs for Business and Corporate reviews. Strive for continuous improvement and standardisation within the finance function with the support of direct line manager and Group Finance Director. This should include the identification of applications, tools or data to improve decision making within the organisation on an ongoing basis. Provide technical assistance to senior management and financial personnel in the Industrial entities related to financial accounting and reporting matters, where they arise. Support the SAP implementation and provide guidance to the SAP teams on matters arising in relation to Record to Report (R2R) processes. In addition, ensure data used from SAP is consistent and available for incorporation into other financial reporting tools (Cognos and Hyperion FDM). Interaction with other finance team members to ensure Group and corporate reporting is consistent across all reporting systems for all entities. Education & Experience: Minimum education for this position is a qualification from a recognised Professional Accountancy body and significant experience in a manufacturing environment at a senior level.(minimum 8-10 years post qualification experience) Working knowledge of US GAAP Working knowledge of SAP desirable and knowledge of Cognos Finance and Hyperion applications an advantage. Experience working at diverse levels of the organisation with a multinational organisation.
