In this role, you will:

The Risk and Control Manager is responsible for assisting with the effective governance and management of non-financial risks in the First Line of Defence.

This job provides specialist Risk and Control advice and/or support, challenges and insights, promoting Risk and Control monitoring and decision-making.

This job category will carry out some or all of the following tasks:
•This role assists with the implementation of the Risk and Control strategy as set out by the Head of Business Control and Strategy or team leader. This role will ensure the consistent and effective implementation and performance of operational Risk and Control assurance across Pinnacle Fintech ("PINF") and its service recipients (incl. INSH, PINB, and etc.).
•This role will be mainly tasked to provide services of RCA (Risk and Control Assessment), thematic control checking or testing, internal/external event review, management issue review, 1st line governance forum (e.g. FLOD) supporting, 1 st line Risk and Control MI, 1 st line TPRM (Third Party Risk Management), 1 st line BCM (business continuity management), CITRO/BIRO, and other 1 st line risk and control responsibilities assigned by team leader, to both PINF and its service recipients.
•This role will engage with all 1 st Line teams, 2 nd line of defense and 3 rd line of Defense at the direction of the Head of Business Control and Strategy or team leader.


To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
•Educated to undergraduate or post-graduate degree level.
•10+ years' experience on Operational Risk Management (or at least 6 years' risk consultant or internal audit experience), preferable with life insurance or related financial industry.
•Good understanding and knowledge of Operational Risk and Internal Control principles, ability to assess risk trends, and hands-on experience in risk and control assessment, control identification and testing design.
•Good knowledge and understanding of operations and technology risks and the ability to interpret operations and technology risk findings.
•An expert and extensive level of operational risk knowledge in order to be able to face off appropriately to the different risk owners and stewards in China and to external parties.
•Expert and extensive level of cyber and information system risk knowledge is preferred.
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills with strong ability to drive operational risk within the first line of defense and obtain appropriate management buy-in.
•Experience of implementing control frameworks within complex environments.
•Attention to detail combined with strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results.
•Experience as People manager is preferred.
