Your new role Promote and maintain governance in relation to the approval, formal sign off for all settlement and recharging of activity on promotional spend. Lead this by ensuring appropriate inbound controls for information are adhered to and appropriate forms are completed and approved through the correct channels Ensure that effective controls for the processes and transactions that are carried out by the team are in place. Monitor the operation of these controls for completeness and compliance, identify any required developments within existing controls and opportunities for improvements Monitor and evaluate the agreed KPI's and ensure that these are driving the correct behaviours within the Divisions and the Promotional Spend & Rebate team. To ensure the impact on Promotional Deductions is in line with the business objectives, debt targets and working capital expectations. Have an operating and system understanding of the commercial transactions in SAP and use this understanding to determine the optimum mechanisms for the settling & recharging of promotional spend. Oversee the Management of promotional invoices through the business via the Process and Applications in place, this includes: a) Investigating customer invoices to determine their validity to relevant financial accruals- LTA's, TPM's & PO's b) Using appropriate systems and processes to manage the workflow of promotional & rebate invoices c) Checking invoices validated by the team are completed correctly with appropriate back-up documentation provided d) Processing using rebate and manual settlements customer/vendor promotional invoices via SAP to produce credits for deductions to be reconciled and cleared. Or ensure credit settlements are available for the P2P to make the appropriate payment and produce the corresponding invoice to relevant brand owners e) To ensure any new brand owners to be recharged are set up in line wit validation terms. Resolution of invoices for a specific sales team(s). This includes: a) Ensuring that they have all of the information that they require to ensure invoices are actioned, authorised and returned quickly and accurately b) Preparing up to date data for the team regarding their current invoices and their performance against set targets, and presenting this at monthly sales team meetings. Dealing with queries from brand owners and customer audit teams. This may include: a)Investigating the validity of queries using a range of available information b) Preparing and collating information to resolve or dispute the query What you'll need to succeed 4+ years of working in a Business & Commercial Role at Management Level Successfully managed a team in relation to Performance & Development Excellent track record of working in a fast moving and complex environment Ability to communicate with people at all levels both internally and externally Flexible and adaptable Ability to work in a dynamic environment Team Player Desirable Experience of using SAP Worked in the FMCG sector (highly desirable) Proficient in MS Word & Excel What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
