Position Summary


The Senior Accountant will support all complex general ledger workstreams within the accounting area. These areas


include but are not limited to fixed assets, lease accounting, general accounting, and controls of monthly closing process.


The position will be responsible for daily, monthly, and quarterly activities within the workstream to ensure that company


books and records are accurate. This position will also be responsible for timely period end closing and accurate financial


statement issuance.


Duties and Responsibilities


 Maintain the Company’s lease (lessee and lessor) accounting portfolio in Co-start or alternative lease accounting


software to ensure compliance with ASC842.


 Maintain and review of documents to ensure completeness and accuracy of information and calculations,


preparation of supporting schedules, and confirmation that appropriate journal entries are consistent with US


GAAP, reconciling monthly.


 Reconcile the lease income receivable accounts (Rent, CAM, Taxes) ensuring accurate billing of lessor income and


providing timely reporting on uncollected rent expenses.


 Prepare real estate allocation entries ensuring accurate allocation of lease and maintenance related expenses to


the appropriate business classifications and locations.


 Work closely with the real estate to understand developments and changes in the real estate portfolio.


 Performs month-end, quarterly and annual controls to ensure compliance with the Company’s SOX program.


 Review maintenance expense accounts and identify for capitalization all items that meet the company’s


capitalization policy.


 Perform and review complex accounting, analysis, and other related duties for the organization.


 Prepare schedules provided to external and internal auditors; collaborating with audit team to ensure successful


results and compliance.


 Key member of the accounting team – collaborating with team members to review current processes, of a


continuous improvement mindset.


 Other duties as assigned.


Qualification & Experience:


 ACCA/CA Inter/ACMA/M.Com/MBA Finance


 Strong ASC 842 lease accounting experience is preferred


 3+ years’ experience in accounting management is required.


 Experience with technical accounting.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


 Excellent analytical and organizational skills; ability to prioritize key competing projects.


 Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.


 Strong written and communication skills.


 Experience with SAP preferred.
