Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing, including but not limited to RTI submissions, PAYE calculations, and handling statutory deductions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest UK payroll legislation, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and providing timely updates to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to conduct thorough payroll assessments, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement efficient payroll processes.
  • Manage and resolve complex payroll queries, such as adjustments for statutory sick pay, maternity/paternity pay, and other benefits in accordance with UK regulations.
  • Maintain and update client payroll records, including employee master data, tax codes, and pension contributions.
  • Oversee and manage the administration of workplace pension schemes, ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment regulations and timely processing of pension contributions.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients on pension-related matters, including pension scheme options and contribution calculations.
  • Liaise with pension providers to facilitate smooth communication and resolve any issues related to pension contributions and scheme administration.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pension legislation changes and communicate their impact on client payroll processes.


  • ACCA qualified/Part qualified/Field relevant degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in providing payroll services to UK-based clients.
  • Previous experience working in a UK-based firm is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of UK payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Key Skills:

  • Proficient in using payroll software and systems, including experience with HMRC's Basic PAYE Tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
