The Business Analyst will provide financial and commercial support through excellent business partnering, with the objective of enhancing the financial performance of the business and support business growth.

Client Details

Currently, the largest company in this specific Hospitality and Catering field within the UK, with head office based in Solihull. The successful Business Analyst will be involved in providing key financial information and advice which will support key business decisions and continue to drive business performance and growth.

Description

The Business Analyst is expected to:

• Business partner with the Operations team, in particular the Operations Director, to provide financial support, reporting and analysis
• Enhance financial performance through insightful analysis and effective challenge of decision making
• Periodic and weekly reporting of key issues affecting business including sales and margin reporting
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Balance Sheet reviews and capex reporting
• Presentation of financial results
• Focus on business improvement
• Other ad hoc tasks as required

Profile

The successful Business Analyst will be:

• ACA qualified, from a top 10 firm, looking for a first move into Industry
• OR
• CIMA/ACCA qualified with experience in a multi-site retail or hospitality business
• Advanced excel skills (Index matches, V Look ups, Formulas, Pivot tables, Macros)
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Inquisitive with a good attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both Operations and Finance stakeholders
• Excellent planning, preparation and presentation capabilities
• Ability and willingness to solve issues and see them through to a resolution
• Motivated and eager to develop skills and build a career
