Group Internal Audit provides independent assurance to management and the Risk and Audit Committees that HSBC's risk management, governance and internal control processes are designed appropriately and are operating effectively.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

We are currently seeking an individual to join our team in the role of Audit Manager - Operations Audit to deliver assigned work, support activities, and where applicable, lead and deliver audits. The Audit Manager will:
  • Be a proactive team player, who leads by example and works constructively across GIA.
  • Deliver quality work within the given timeframes, standards, methodology, budget, and best practices.
  • Confirm that audit findings and recommendations are understood and with proposed mitigations.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Functional Knowledge & Experience (i.e. understanding of concepts and principles)

l 3 - 5 years relevant work experience in the Financial Services Sector, consultancy, and external audit will be considered, but is not always essential.

l Applicable knowledge of the regulatory requirements and business processes related to Operations.

l Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, accounting, mathematics, or social sciences

l Preference given to qualified accountants, CIA, CISA, CFE, or ACAMS

l Fluency in English

l Willingness to travel.

l Mature team player who is highly professional.

l Prior knowledge of Internal Audit is desirable but not essential.

l Problem Solving (i.e. complexity and evaluative / analytical thinking involved in formulating solutions)

l Analytical and critical thinker, who can effectively manage competing priorities and complex challenges to deliver positive outcomes.

l Apply qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze and investigate challenging scenarios and situations.

l Produce smart, simple, and pragmatic solutions.

l Ability to apply technology or expertise to business issues or operational problems.
