The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Provides tax management support for the Group and its subsidiaries, covering global tax risk, compliance and reporting.
  • The role requires a strong business partner who can provide detailed tax advice and support across the group covering direct and indirect taxes.
  • This is a global role and the individual will need to have a good understanding of global tax issues.
  • Responsible for tax filings across the group and the key contact for external tax advisors.
  • To manage the corporate income tax reporting and audit process for the group, delivering accurate tax balances, tax notes and disclosures for the financial statements.
  • To manage all compliance deadlines are met and compliance requirements are kept continuously up to date, including but not limited to corporation tax returns, transfer pricing, country by country reporting, short term business visitors, P11D and PSA reporting, VAT returns, Corporate Criminal Offences Act requirements, tax strategy, Senior Accounting Officer audit.
  • To support tax planning activities including but not limited to quarterly installment payment forecasting and management, tax elections to manage the cash tax position of the Group and the use of reliefs.
  • To support and advise on future business development opportunities across the group ensuring tax efficiencies are considered in the design and construction of the corporate investing mechanism.
  • To support the Payroll and HR departments with tax technical advice on employment issues.
  • To assist the management of global tax risk, compliance and reporting for the Group and subsidiaries.
  • Actively support the relationship with HMRC in the UK, including the annual business risk review process and communications between the Group and HMRC.
  • To manage any overseas tax audits and enquiries to ensure resolution of material issues and minimising the additional costs
  • To drive continuous improvement in tax processes, including the education of the broader finance team and business where necessary.
  • Manage and work collaboratively with the Group's external tax advisors, including interpreting advice received, challenging where required and implementing recommendations.


The successful candidate will ideally have/be:

  • Chartered Tax Advisor or equivalent
  • Experience as a Tax Manager in current or previous roles
  • An ability to influence members of the organisation
  • An ability to articulate complex issues in a simple manner (particularly in relation to tax)
  • Experience in managing relationships with HMRC
  • Adaptable to working in a dynamic and often fast-moving environment
