Job Description & Summary

A career within the Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Team ("CMAAS"), will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to a variety of non-audit assurance and regulatory services to assist clients address their client asset safeguarding requirements under various regulatory frameworks.

You will be joining a specialised team of professionals as a Manager in the Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Team for the Asset and Wealth Management practice.

Our clients include investment funds, investment firms, investment business firms, e-money and payment institutions and fund service providers. We work with our clients in areas such as the completion of the annual client asset / investor money examination, assistance through the authorisation process, assistance drafting client asset / investor money management plans as well as advising on various aspects of compliance with the client asset safeguarding rules. We also provide clients with technical accounting advice; and assist with the completion of regulatory returns such as minimum capital requirements returns and Total Expense Ratio calculations. You will work alongside senior members of our team to help us build our rapidly expanding practice.


  • Degree qualified or equivalent with relevant professional qualifications e.g. ACA, ACCA
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar environment with experience of client asset regulations / investor money regulations being desirable but not essential.

Your knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge of the financial service industry.
  • Understanding of the client asset regulations, investor money regulations, and client asset safeguarding rules under MiFID, PSD II etc.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop proactive and constructive recommendations.
  • Proficiency in operational processes and systems, with an appreciation of the concept of controls and risk management in a regulatory environment.
  • Ability to understand/interpret new and existing regulatory requirements.
  • Effective communication and report writing skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Quick to take and understand a brief.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and autonomy.
