Finance Analyst - Civil Operations

As a Finance Analyst, you will provide technical and systems based support to the Rolls-Royce Operational Business Units (OBU's) teams, Operations HQ and to the Central Strategic Purchasing teams which are located throughout the UK and Overseas.

What you will be doing:

As Finance Analyst, you will Support the preparation, coordination, consolidation, analysis and presentation of AP'ly actuals and forecasting processes, including journal preparation, creation, and distribution of financial models.
  • Supporting and challenging the budget/forecasting inputs which feed into the business financial statements and preparing business review packs with meaningful business commentaries for review with Finance Business Partners - both actuals and forecasts.
  • Completion of supplier financial assessments for the business whilst also providing more in-depth financial support when a supplier goes into financial distress.
  • Financial - balance sheet reconciliations, inventory reporting and analysis.
  • Overhead reporting and analysis.
  • Maintenance and review of finance procedures.
  • Working on process improvement tasks supporting the wider operations team, including writing, and maintaining how to guides and task lists.
  • Attendance as agreed value-added business meetings such as actuals and forecasting business reviews.
  • Dealing with internal and external auditors.

  • AAT/ CIMA/ACCA or equivalent (or working towards qualification).
  • Working knowledge of SAP and HFM.
  • Good evaluative skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and teams.
  • Experienced in communicating with non-Finance personnel.
  • Customer focused, with a drive for process improvement.
  • Experience in month-end reporting and budgeting.
