As a market leader within the Asset Management sector, this high-growth long term developer, investor and operator of public sector infrastructure assets supports a broad range of projects encompassing Property, Renewable Energy, Construction, Infrastructure and Waste Recycling. Continued and successful expansion through winning bids, financial close and new projects has created a new opportunity for a qualified accountant to undertake a Finance Manager role within the Projects Finance team. Responsible for providing effective finance business partnering and delivering key financial information on a portfolio of European projects, your brief includes:

  • Act as Finance Director & Company Secretary for several high profile newly acquired projects
  • Ongoing review of contractual & funding agreements; monitoring SPV risk to ensure mitigation
  • Advising the Board on operational & financial risks & opportunities
  • Management of business planning & model processes for Board & shareholder presentations
  • Ensuring financial models reflect contractual, statutory, regulatory & commercial provisions
  • Preparation of annual operating budget & Board presentation for approval
  • Ensuring financial controls are implemented for each SPV & monitoring compliance
  • Management of individual SPV tax obligations & audit processes
  • Delivery of SPV financial reporting requirements

As a 2:1/1st class graduate qualified accountant with a strong academic track record, you will be seeking to develop your existing technical accounting expertise within a commercial business environment. The role demands experience of management and financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis alongside intermediate/advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of the PFI, or PPP sector and/or SPV-Special Purpose Vehicles is advantageous. A professional attitude, self-motivated approach and excellent interpersonal skills are prerequisite. It is envisaged that 1 days travel per week to project sites is likely with an option for home working on occasion.
