Job Type: Permanent

There may also be the need for occasional trips to our other sites. We recognise the benefits of flexible working and will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.
Salary and benefits: up to £55,000 depending on experience plus an on-target 16% bonus up to 32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3 volunteering days and much more.

We have a great opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as an Investment Operations Senior Analyst providing technical support to colleagues in our Investment Operations teams as well as being involved in delivery of change initiatives, from process improvement to strategic change.

Who are we?
We want to be the best place that any of our 8,000 colleagues have ever worked.
We're the UK's largest long-term savings and retirement business. We offer our 13 million customers products across our market-leading brands, including Standard Life, SunLife and ReAssure, with c.£310 billion of assets under administration. We're a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we're not done yet.

The role
Our Investment Operations team are responsible for the administration of around 2,000 unit-linked and with-profits funds with over 9,000 pricing series linked to them. Our roles vary from oversight of fund accounting and unit pricing to maintenance of customer facing data for our funds.
We're looking for someone with relevant experience and qualifications to join our team to become an expert in our processes and take ownership of the applications and tools that we use. We'll also need you to provide technical support and training to colleagues, design and implement process improvements, and work on projects ranging from changes to structures of our funds to responding to regulatory/strategic change.
You'll need to be able to build on your existing investment operations expertise to quickly become a technical expert on how we use our applications and tools to administer our funds - we'll make sure you're fully supported on this. As you develop your knowledge of our systems and processes you'll also need to start building an understanding of how we link up with teams across Phoenix Group including Product & Proposition, Asset Management, and Investment Reporting, and how they rely on the data that we produce.
The nature of this role means that you'll need to be comfortable working with other areas of the business and challenging proposals/decisions to ensure we deliver the right outcomes for customers and align to long-term strategic objectives of the business.

What are we looking for?
Essential
- You possess in-depth knowledge of unit-linked/with-profits fund administration processes (including unit pricing, unit matching & box management and trading) OR have a background in fund accounting.
- You've got experience of coding; VBA being most desirable.
- You are proactive and inquisitive and are willing to challenge the status quo.
- You're comfortable translating complicated technical content for stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable
- Accounting and/or Investment Operations-related qualifications.
- Experience using Mendix platform.
- Experience of working with outsourced service providers.
We want to hire the whole version of you.
We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we've advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we'd love to hear from you.
If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
