Senior Associate- Accounting

Key Accountabilities

People care and development

Supervise the progress of team’s assignment and provide training and guidance.

Review work output of team assigned with the aim of developing their skills.

Document and ensure guidance\coaching notes and responses are filed in clients’ and employees’ files on CCH.

Client service

Work closely with assigned clients to assess needs. Approach client interactions with maturity and discretion.

Prepare audit working paper file, attend to auditors’ requirements and resolve discrepancies.

Review Financial Statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards for Small and Medium Enterprise (IFRS for SMEs).

Review Tax computations and returns prepared by team.

Ensure internal controls set in Twinfield are maintained by team.

Design and perform analytical procedures on all financial working paper files of clients assigned.

Ensure the clients’ year end are closed off on internal accounting system.

Strategic support

Assist with the development of department’s strategy, policies and training plan.

Ensure scope of work, timing and fees are current on the engagements letters of clients assigned.

Assist with the on-boarding of new clients and the importation of new data into accounting software

Review time sheet of team and ensure time allocated reasonably reflects time incurred on assignments.

Maintain the permanent files, process flow and procedure documents of the client’s assigned.

Prepare invoices for service rendered to clients on a timely basis.

Qualifications and Experience

At least four years’ experience in an accounting environment

Undergraduate degree in Accounting field or pursuing level 3 ACCA

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Working knowledge of accounting software

Familiarity and understanding of Tax and VAT laws and regulations

Comprehensive understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
