Join Close Brothers Debt Capital Markets Team where you will support a broad range of activities undertaken by the team. This role provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to learn about the funding activities of Bank and to receive training in the execution and management of its wholesale financing activities, whilst assisting in the developments of Capital Markets programmes.

The Debt Capital Markets team within the Treasury Division of Close Brothers Limited, establishes and manages a dynamic range of secured funding transactions, utilising collateral from several divisions of the Bank. The team are also responsible for maintaining the Bank’s unsecured wholesale funding programmes and utilising these programmes to strategically fund the Bank and Group via unsecured debt issuance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Process

  • Support all BAU departmental activities including internal and external reporting, execution of new financing activities, ongoing compliance requirements, and ad-hoc query management
  • Assist in the preparation of investor materials and rating agency analysis
  • Design, build and maintain databases, create dashboards for management review
  • Gather, analyse, model and interpret data, effectively communicate findings
  • Collate information for due diligence requirements
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Keep abreast of latest market and regulatory developments, communicate intel to senior members of the team

People

  • Coordinate and develop strong working relationships across Treasury, the Lending Divisions and the wider Bank functions

Risk & Compliance

Ensure that all governance and compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by regulatory bodies are carried out to the standards required ​

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:

  • Prior experience in Financial Services/ Banking/ Capital Markets
  • MS Excel/ VBA and modelling experience
  • Knowledge of data extraction and manipulation
  • Knowledge of SME and consumer lending
