Indirect Tax Manager - (Experience Hire (Manager, Senior Manager)

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Deliver a full range of indirect tax services (Service Tax, Sales Tax, GST, Customs & indirect tax related Global Trade services) in compliance with laws  and regulations within timeframe
2. Work together with the indirect tax team to provide excellent client service
3. Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
4. Provide innovative indirect tax planning, review complex problems and provide practical solutions
5. Identify and mitigate client’s indirect tax risks
6. Coordinate with junior team members in servicing clients
7. Manage and coordinate client engagements
8. Preparing and ensuring accurate deliverables is provided to clients from various industries
9. Ensure deadlines and requirements are achieved in a timely manner
10. Maintain and update on working knowledge of  indirect tax laws and regulations on a regular basis
11. Liaising and maintaining good relationships with clients and authorities
    
    
    REQUIREMENTS
12. Degree in Accounting or related field and/or professional qualification with CTIM, ACCA
13. Minimum 4 - 7 years working experience in indirect tax (Service Tax, Sales Tax, GST, Customs & indirect tax related Global Trade services)
14. Must currently be practicing in a tax firm
15. Possess good knowledge of indirect tax legislations, processes, procedures and other relevant guidelines
16. Familiarity with Royal Malaysian Customs Department’s processes and procedures
17. Knowledge of MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint & etc)
18. Good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills
19. Meticulous, highly organized and ability to work independently and / or in a team with minimal supervision
20. Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
21. Possess strong determination to self-improve on technical knowledge, policies and procedures
22. Good communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (verbal and written)
