Join us as a Operations Supervisor Securities Lending
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Operations Supervisor to join our Securities Lending team. In this role you will be responsible for the reconciliation of our House Cash Account daily, direction and supervision of small team within Poland Securities Lending Services Department, reporting to Department Head.You will assist the staff with day to day processing activities in order to escalate timely, provide the team with constructive feedback and ensure adherence to policies, procedures and that standards of quality and controls are met. As the Supervisor you will be responsible for, but not limited to, developing and maintaining working relationships between the team and other ops groups by interacting and addressing issues as they arise. Part of your duties will also include monitoring inquiries and issues resolution. The role will involve project management related tasks, focused on clearing breaks, and cooperate smoothly in the group.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Ensures reconciliation of historical House Cash Account output standards, both quality and timeliness, are met
- Ensures adherence to all established policies, procedures, and controls
- Ensures the team’s procedures are documented and ready for audit
- Assists management in the implementation of policies, procedures and controls
- Monitors time utilization of the team
- Identifies and resolves workflow issues
- Assists staff with day to day processing activities
- Energizes and inspires team and generates excitement, a sense of pride, and a drive to excel
- Helps to enhance the productivity of the unit
- Interacts with team management and client to ensure that defined services are being conducted at the highest standard possible
- Escalates and resolves high exposure and complex items
- Prepare and distribute all required reporting
- Communicates professionally and constructively to resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure
- Be a role model
- Consistently provides employees with constructive and timely feedback, both positive and negative
- Ensures employees have the information and tools necessary to progress.Actively participate in helping employees develop their skill sets based on career goals

Desired Qualifications:
- Reconciliation research, analysis, and problem resolution skills
- 3 to 5 years of industry experience (Reconciliation, BA, Accounting experience is a plus)
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- Excel knowledge
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong client service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge about DTCC and FED Wire payments is a plus
