About the job
Reporting to the APAC Tax Manager you will be the key in-house advisor for Asia and deliver tax advice, compliance and tax accounting services to a range of internal stakeholders. This role will be focused on direct and indirect taxes and offers the opportunity to add-value in delivering the group's ambitious growth targets. You will also be assisting in carrying out tax projects/initiations which could be local market focused, regional basis or global scale as well as assist in the setup of SOPs/improvements of processes. The ideal candidate is one who is technically strong in tax with a growth and problem solving mindset along with the ability to manage senior stakeholders.

You should possess a recognised accounting degree in Accounting or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant tax experience while candidates with more than 8 years of experience will be considered for the Manager role. Candidates directly from Big4 tax roles are highly encouraged to apply.
Why is this a good role?
This is a company that boasts a fun and collaborative culture, the business also regards talents highly and will provide internal opportunities to move folks around globally. This role will also have oversight of everything in Asia (more than 10 markets) which can be challenging given some markets are less developed than others or have very complicated tax concepts. There's also the opportunity for this person to grow their own area of expertise in tax and wear different hats in this role. For someone who's currently in the consultancy line this would be a great opportunity to transit to commercial given the breadth of exposure you will receive.
