Job summary

We are seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts Receivable Team. This is a key role within a busy department. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of financial administrative support tasks across the team. The role requires someone who has the ability to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail and with strong organisational skills. They will also need a good all-round knowledge of transactional finance to be able to understand and work on end-to-end query resolution using the finance system. A working knowledge of Cloud and MS Excel would also be advantageous as there is a requirement to generate and support the distribution of stakeholder reports.

Main duties of the job

The Finance Accounts Assistant role is to provide support for financial tasks undertaken by Accounts Receivable team. It will be the primary responsibility of the administrator to provide support to the credit controllers in all aspects of their cash collection efforts and support the Billing team members with the generation of manual and ad-hoc invoice adjustments in addition to interface loads. Another key responsibility of this role will be to support the Agreement of Balance process, field, review and action any queries received as a result. The role requires the individual to be competent with systems and an ability to communicate clearly and competently both verbally and in writing with colleagues at all levels due to a requirement to engage with the wider finance corporate teams and both internal and external stakeholders. This role is suited to a self-starting individual who is able to work alone and as part of the team.
