Hiring Paraplanner / Admin Support for an Australian based company.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  1. Financial Analysis and Research:

     

    • Collaborate with financial advisor(s) to gather client information and understand their financial goals and objectives.

       

      Conduct thorough research on various investment products, insurance policies, superannuation funds, and other financial instruments.

       

      Analyse and interpret complex financial data to assess the suitability of different strategies and products based on clients' needs. 

       

    Financial Planning Documentation: 

     

    • Prepare detailed financial plans, statements of advice (SOAs), and other client-facing documents, adhering to regulatory guidelines and industry best practices. 

       

      Assist in the preparation of research for retirement planning, investment strategies, estate planning, risk management, and taxation.

       

      Create cash flow projections, investment performance reports, and asset allocation recommendations.

       

      Assist financial advisors in formulating tailored financial strategies that align with clients' risk tolerance, time horizon, and financial aspirations.

       

    Software Utilization:

     

    • Utilize financial planning software (Xplan by Iress) to model scenarios, create projections, and analyse various investment strategies. 

       

      Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client information and financial plans within designated software systems.

       

    Regulatory Compliance: 

     

    • Stay current with relevant industry regulations, legislative changes, and compliance standards, such as those set forth by Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Australian Tax Office.

       

      Ensure that all financial plans and recommendations adhere to legal and ethical standards, while considering the best interests of the client.

       

    Administrative Support: 

     

    • Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining records, and preparing necessary paperwork for client onboarding and servicing.

       

      Collaborate with other team members to ensure the seamless flow of information and efficient work flow within the practice.

       

    Qualifications and Skills:

     

    • Proficient written and communication skills. This skill set is very important because the candidate will be communicating with Australian financial advisors. 

       

      An under-grad/post-grad degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field (CFA, C.A., ACCA, CIMA). 

       

      Understanding of financial planning principles, investment strategies, insurance products, and retirement planning.

       

      Excellent analytical and research skills.

       

      Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

       

      Able to type up to 150 words per minute. 

       

      Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
