The purpose of this role is to provide high quality finance solutions support the achievement of strategic business objectives through proactive Finance business partnering. Finance Business Partners will build a credible productive partnership with Production Purchasing across the following activities. This role will also maintain links to the Product Engineering finance teams central finance teams in terms of forecasting and budgetary control.
As the Senior Finance Analyst you'll be responsible for:
• Deliver finance solutions to support the strategic direction of the business while ensuring the Finance strategy / approach is aligned across the business unit
• Support the Production Purchasing team to achieve short- and long-term strategic objectives by delivering plans and initiatives through Finance Business Partnering
• Prepare and present financial information such as forecasts, budgets and business plans to ensure strategic objectives are met
• Deliver financial reports to operational and senior stakeholders to inform key business decision making and strategic business planning
• Cross functional working with the wider finance community to deliver finance strategies / initiatives
• Support the Heads of Finance Business Partnering with Business area short and long term financial forecasting
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
• Experience which supports the candidate's ability to establish relationships & influence others.
• Sound financial and commercial business acumen shown through evidence of developing, introducing new or innovative practices/processes in support of strategic business goals.
• Exceptional numerical, analytical skills supported by advanced communication and presentation skills - used to translate financial issues for operational teams
• Ability to multi-task, work accurately at speed and under pressure balancing delivery of conceptual work with attention to detail and hands on delivery
• Strong analytical background, project management and delivery skills
• Customer focused - ability to determine service requirements and performance measures, and initiate solutions
• Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred
• Proven Strong interpersonal skills and an proven ability to develop and nurture relationships internally operations and externally with suppliers
The role is mainly office based in Gaydon although you will be required to occasionally visit Whitley and other JLR UK locations to discuss matters with other finance teams and purchasing teams.
