Finance Analyst - Commercial Operations - Part Time

Department: Commercial Operations Finance

Location: Holborn SSC, but flexibility to other Store Support Centres

Reporting to: Commercial Operations Head of Finance

Hours: Part-time 30 hours pw - flexible on days

The Role

This role provides support and challenge across a number of projects within Commercial Operations , t racks the plans and delivery of benefits through the various work streams, supports the financial analysis for Capital investment programs, and inputs into the period end Capitalisation process

What you need to do

Drive governance and financial control agenda in respect to Commercial Operations Central Costs and Revex as part of the period-end process.

Challenging stakeholders when completing Business Cases and post investment reviews on Capital Projects

Covering the Centrals period end and LV process for Commercial Operations when required

Working cross functionally to deliver well-constructed business cases and post investment reviews.

Work independently to produce key stand-alone analysis on Commercial Operations projects.

Produce quarterly performance overview of Range Reviews, working with BU Finance teams and Convenience Finance.

What you need to know and show

Demonstrated experience in a C4 finance role

Part-qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA

Exceptional communication skills and confidence to deal with all levels of management

Ability to deliver to tight deadlines

Pro-active, drives the agenda, and able to turn ideas into actions

High level of self-organisation and demonstrated personal responsibility

Demonstrated willingness to challenge and seek performance improvements

Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

Attention to detail and high degree of customer focus

What decisions I can make including budget

Be comfortable working autonomously and making decision and challenging above a usual C4 grade, but with the appropriate judgement to know when to engage more senior members of the team.

• Support for Accounting studies in line with Sainsbury's policy
