Location - This role can be based out of any of our main Store Support Centre's - London, Coventry or Manchester & work from home.

This role will support various change projects within the Finance Transformation team such as supplier reporting, stock valuation, supplier funding, and business-led projects supported by Finance Transformation such as Nectar Prices and Value & Pricing initiatives. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility to support the various projects and will be instrumental in shaping and embedding them within finance and the wider business . The role will work alongside the rest of the Finance Transformation team to ensure close links across the programme as well as being a key point of contact for the Finance Division.

What you need to do

• Shape the project requirements and alignment across the group

• Accountable for understanding the business needs and problems to factor them into the development requirements, working with various Business and Finance teams to align on requirements.

• Be prepared to challenge the "status quo" to deliver the next generation of finance systems and processes.

• Work with Tech, Finance and Business teams to understand the broader change roadmaps, the impacts these have across Finance and Finance Transformation, and provide financial leadership to these projects.

• Provide leadership to our engineering tech teams by bringing your experience of cutting-edge finance processes and technologies into the business, attending agile ceremonies to support the development requirements.

• Responsible for feeding business tasks into the project plan and align on key milestones with Product Manager, collaborating with the Project Teams to manage and prioritise the backlog of build requirements.

• Collaborate with Project Teams to agree and propose solutions, b uild an external perspective and use outputs to engage and influence the business and finance colleagues alike.

• Complete ad hoc / bespoke analysis for the business area as required to drive improvements.

• Responsible for Transformation Governance for owned projects, inputting into packs and forums for PMM, Design Authority, SteerCo and Product Council.

• Review, understand and communicate how the various workstreams are interdependent across the various Finance Transformation projects and impacts that need to be addressed

• Work to resolve blockers to ensure a good pipeline of work for the tech teams to deliver incremental value at pace

• Ensures there is a regular progress check-in with stakeholders to playback the progress that has been made, and able to explain why decisions have been made in the way they have

• Work with Change Manager to provide effective change management to impacted business teams and successfully embed the new processes

• Inputs to risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and Change Requests within their area that require mitigation or action to resolve

• Step up to cover the Head of Finance where needed

What you need to know and show

• Professionally Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)

• Proven ability and desire to deliver change

• Ability to flex between projects to support the wider Transformation programme as required

• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance

• Someone who likes to roll up their sleeves and has a passion to deliver and embed process change

• Effective presentational skills, both verbal and written with strong attention to detail

• Curiosity beyond traditional finance boundaries and ability to understand key business drivers

• Ability to effectively communicate and challenge senior stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen

• Self-motivated team player, able to work autonomously, build and utilise a broader cross-functional network

• Ability to prioritise workload whilst managing business and finance stakeholder expectations in a fast paced, ever changing environment

What decisions I can make including budget

Accountable for managing key decisions related to the projects which will enable effective project delivery.

Directly or indirectly manages

• Financial leadership into the Tech project team, setting overall direction and supporting prioritising workload of our Tech teams; report key messages through the Finance Transformation Governance Framework
