About the Role

As our Assistant Location Accountant you will provide financial/administrative support to the Senior Location Accountant (SLA), Finance Business Partner (FBP) and the Operations Teams.

You will actively participate in the development of a “One Compass” UK Finance Function to continually improve service levels, cost effectiveness and add value to commercial activities undertaken.

All key tasks and measures must be aligned to the Finance and Compass MAP (Management and Performance Reporting) plans.

  • Ensure Billing is invoiced accurately and complete
  • Cash/Credit Card journals
  • Proactively work with credit control, operations and the client to ensure invoiced debt is collected to terms
  • Work with EP’s to follow sales process map and escalation
  • Fcast/Actual Reconciliation
  • Closing monthly accounts in line with deadlines and all post month end reporting
  • Flash Weekly, Budget Annual and all rolling adjustments
  • Gross margin improvements
  • Purchasing compliance
  • Cost of good is calculated and measured within venue expectations weekly/monthly
  • Work with HOD’s to ensure wastage is measured and minimised where possible, also flashed when necessary
  • Stocks are Submitted checked & verified in line with IPOE guidelines
  • Review Mater log NO PO’s weekly and any Reconciliations
  • Investigate PO discrepancies or Invoices without PO’s
  • Payments/Allocations
  • Supplier Accounts/Missing P/L Payments/Foodbuy

  • £26,000 per annum dependent on experience, per hour, 40 hours per week

Essential

  • Experience of accounting
  • High numeric and analytical skills – good knowledge of MS Excel

  • Ability to effectively plan and organise own work
  • Ability to take on a broad spectrum of work under pressure and to deliver in agreed timescales
  • Positive attitude towards colleagues

Desirable

  • Part AAT/Part QBE
  • Knowledge of SAP desirable
  • Previous Stadium experience
