You will be responsible for the day to day financial management of two UK entities, preparing weekly and monthly reporting as well as forecast and budget preparation, whilst reporting directly into the UK Financial Controller.

Description

Main areas of responsibility include:

  • Oversee 2 staff
  • Assess risk and develop and implements controls and cost-effective approaches to minimise the organisation's risks as well as communicate information regarding business risks with functions across the Company
  • Oversee inventory counts and be responsible for tracking/valuing all materials, WIP and finished goods
  • Provide financial support including cash flow forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
  • Prepare analysis for investment in new equipment or disposition of idle/obsolete stock or equipment
  • Timely and accurate IFRS/US GAAP and statutory financial statement and disclosure preparation including management of monthly /year end close processes, management representation and sign off of financial statements
  • Prepare and review monthly financial and management reporting information for two entities, including overseeing all accounting activity and reporting to the group in line with all deadlines
  • Manage the planning and direction of accounting activities, including the maintenance of the ledger accounts and financial statements down to transactional level
  • Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls in compliance with corporate objectives and government standards

Profile

The successful candidate:

  • Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA with 2-3 years PQE experience
  • Strong attention to detail is a prerequisite for a role at this level
  • Proven organisational skills, the ability to manage and deliver tasks in an efficient and timely manner
  • Proven levels of technical capability and assured approach across different levels
  • Commercial and manufacturing expertise to support and advise the Finance team and Senior Management
  • Demonstrable customer focus for both internal and external customers
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS products, advanced excel and experience of multiple ERP/finance systems is essential
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently as well as lead the Finance team through monthly routines and a process of change
  • Willingness to bring energy and enthusiasm to the role and display desire for self-improvement

Job Offer

Salary circa £50,000 - £55,000

Based in corporate head office (5 days per week)
