Finance Product Sub-Ledger Specialist

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the development of SAP S/4HANA Finance Product Sub Ledgers, with a focus on:
    • Design solution and configuration of SAP FPSL
    • Provide expertise on IFRS9, IFRS 17 and EU/UK/US GAAP
    • Apply knowledge of SAP Data Model and Process Steps (Operational and Analytical) in SAP FPSL solution, including integration with S/4 HANA Finance and ECC FICO.
    • Design functional and technical concepts of object-based accounting within FPSL
    • Provide expertise on database architecture (BW, HANA, FSDP, SQL, Data Schemas)
    • Record all financial transactions for client ledgers and sub ledgers in compliance with EU/UK/US GAAP and with financial policies and procedures
    • Provide expertise on accounting principles and practices to a variety of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting and other fiscal functions within client engagement
    • Define and execute an agile / hybrid-agile delivery approach to requirements gathering and analysis for changes in finance product sub ledgers and resulting processes
  • Lead design workshops to gain a clear understanding of our financial services (Banking or Insurance) clients’ needs and propose best practice solutions.

About You

  • A third level qualification in Business, Technology, Engineering, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • SAP Finance or Accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • SAP FPSL or SAP S/4 HANA Finance Configuration Experience
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience working in a banking or insurance client-facing role for a leading consulting or professional services company in delivery of large-scale complex change/transformation programmes or systems integration programmes in SAP Finance implementations
  • A solid understanding of core financial processes and the implementation of best practice solutions in the SAP Finance spacefor global banking or insurance clients
  • Proven experience in implementing SAP Finance processes such as new general ledger, finance general ledger processing, accruals, bank accounting, asset accounting, management accounting (CO), profitability analysis, cash management, credit management and budgeting/planning
  • Proven experience of full-cycle SAP implementation projects through all phases and associated deliverables
  • Proven experience with or demonstrable understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP Financial Product Sub Ledger
  • Proven experience in leading IT change projects with a range of streams, partners and technologies (incl. IT infrastructure, IT Security, IT Operations, IT applications etc.) across the full delivery lifecycle is desirable but not essential
  • Strong ability to be a team player, adopting a collaborative and supportive approach across the team
  • Proven ability to lead teams and build and leverage relationships with key client stakeholders
