Bright Horizons, voted Great Place to Work for the last 12 consecutive years, are looking for a Statutory Reporting Accountant, to join their large financial team based in Rushden, Northamptonshire on a full time basis. 

Reporting directly to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring financial controls and compliance are maintained in the production of all financial information, including: 
• Statutory reporting, 
• Preparation of corporation tax packs, 
• Completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations (particularly for acquired companies) 
• Maintaining bank relationships & accounts
• Assisting and liaising with internal and external audit 
• Ensuring that the company are complying with Sarbanes Oxley (SARBOX).

Additional responsibilities to include (but not be limited to):
• Maintaining accurate and effective personnel records
• Responding appropriately to issues requiring confidentiality
• Working with the team to ensure they are aligned to the company’s strategic goals
• Using evidence to evaluate policies, projects and programmes – seeing where the main risks lie, and thinking through implications, mitigating risks where possible and maximising opportunities

Recommended Experience/ Knowledge/ Skills
• ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified Accountant (Part Qualified will be considered)
• Experience with statutory reporting and group consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations and treasury
• Knowledge of FRS 102
• Working knowledge of corporation tax and VAT, US GAAP and SARBOX
• Ability to act assertively, and behave fairly and ethically
• Hold excellent communication skills, with both internal and external customers
• Ability to self-manage – being flexible and adaptable, to embrace new ways of doing things/ ability to learn new processes and utilise internal software/database
