Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager (FM) to fill a highly visible, critical role providing financial modelling and analysis supporting global and regional strategic purchasing contracts ranging from $1MM to $100MM+ of annual spend per contract.

As part of the Global Corporate Procurement Finance and Analytics team, this role partners closely with strategic negotiators, business partners, and related business finance teams in identifying the best contracts for Amazon related to strategic purchases across a wide range of areas including: Marketing, Construction and Building Services, Travel, HR, Professional Services, Software and Technology, Transportation, and many others.

The FM role also is a part of the team presenting the recommended path forward on negotiations to executive and senior executive leadership to gain approval. This role requires someone who excels at managing multiple complex priorities simultaneously, while also building strong partnerships with cross-functional business partners. FMs are well versed in financial concepts and tools, are experts in performing multifaceted financial analysis, and clearly communicate the outcomes from these analyses. Key job responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain multi-variable, complex models to determine the costs and benefits of strategic sourcing decisions, including highlighting relevant key factors and recommendations.

- Support and maintain reporting to highlight key factors impacting product costs.

- Develop and deliver content for cross functional operational reviews with internal leadership.

- Support internal Finance and Procurement teams in delivering actionable insights on financial performance and opportunities to improve.

- Collaborate with multiple departments including Finance, Tax, Procurement, and Accounting to understand and quantify the impacts of purchasing at Amazon.

- Research market conditions to understand the impact on projects

- Lead key initiatives related to cost management, reporting, and forecasting.

- Drive cost management policies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Significant experience in finance and analytics to apply financial acumen to help drive key business decisions.

- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or related field.

- Experience in using advanced excel techniques such as VLookUps, index functions, etc.

- Experience working at a multinational corporation in a global role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Post-Bachelor's degree - MBA or Master's degree in a related field

- Professional certification such as CFA, ACA, CPA, etc.

- Experience and comfortability working in a fast-paced environment that contains ambiguity

- Proficient at solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs)

- Excels at identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing a plan to resolve
