IT Internal Audit Senior Manager

Are you an experienced IT Audit Manager looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment? Do you have a passion for delivering high-quality audits that add value to the business? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our IT Internal Audit team at Primark.

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will play a key role in driving and executing Primark’s Internal Audit Strategy. This new and exciting role is critical in the planned expansion of our business. The role requires technical expertise, coupled with an articulate, commercially aware professional who has a keen interest in effective, practical control processes.

You will drive the longer-term strategic priorities whilst maintaining oversight of day-to-day activities. You will play a leading role in shaping the future of our Internal Audit practices whilst partnering closely with Senior stakeholders.

Bringing experience developing, embedding, and enhancing IT Internal Auditing in a fast-paced organisation, you will be supporting Primark in meeting its strategic objectives by demonstrating a drive to achieve best practice in audit, governance, and controls. You will play a pivotal role in deep diving into our processes and procedures, assessing performance and risk, developing actionable insights, presenting findings, and working with management to support implementation to improve overall effectiveness.

About the role

As a Senior Manager in IT Internal Audit, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing risk-based IT audit plans that align with the business objectives and priorities
  • Leading and managing IT audit engagements across Primark’s global operations, covering areas such as IT governance, IT security, IT risk management, IT change management, IT service management, etc.
  • Supervising and coaching IT audit staff, ensuring high standards of performance and quality
  • Preparing and presenting clear and concise audit reports that communicate key findings and recommendations
  • Building strong relationships with key senior stakeholders across the business, providing insights and advice on IT risks and controls
  • Supporting the Head of IT Internal Audit in developing and implementing the IT audit strategy, methodology and tools

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT Auditing along with professional certification in IT auditing such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
  • A proven track record of leading and developing teams and delivering high-quality audit reports
  • A solid knowledge and understanding of risk-based auditing standards and techniques as well as requisite knowledge and skills in IT Auditing principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • A high level of analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • A flexible, adaptable, and proactive approach to work
  • A willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
